Aonghus I'm 73, slightly arthritic, and relearning to swim as other forms of exercise are hurtful. Kaitlin's Beginner's Guide has been invaluable to me. My main takeaways have been;
1. Breathing; exhaling only 50% keeps bouyancy in lungs
2. Looking down, instead of ahead, with realxed head keeps hips/legs up
3. Streamlining/Gliding - longer boat is faster, same with extended body
Swimming is the one exercise which doesn't hurt and I'm really enjoying it!
